Fun weekend Wrap

This weekend the weather was so nice that we had to take advantage of it. I was getting ready to do my usual Friday night shift and my cell phone rang. The CDF wanted to know if I wanted to take call for the night!!! OF COURSE! I told stephen to put some shorts on and get ready, we are taking Sydney to the park. I like to take Sydney to different places and get her out of the house and Stephen has never been with us to any of our excursions because we usually do them during the day and he is at work. So this was going to be our first family outing to do "Sydney stuff."
Daddy I think we might need to be a little bigger to do this one!! Stephen was trying to call Sydney up the climbing wall! LOL
Sydney loves to slide!!

This was the last picture I got of Sydney at the park that evening because I got THE CALL! =( We were at the park maybe 15 minutes and my cell phone rang....I thought surely not! O yea work needed me to come in and I felt so bad for Sydney. She was having so much fun and I didn't want our outing to end. I promised Sydney we would come back the next evening since it was my fault it was cut short. She fussed a little but handled having to leave so soon after we got there.

Saturday afternoon we were in the house and I had just got up and I heard the sound of my childhood. Guess who was in my neighborhood??? The ICE CREAM TRUCK!!! I have such fond memories of being excited and the rush of getting your money in time to catch the ice cream man before he came back around. My cousin Mary even busted her chin open trying to run after the ice cream truck to get him to stop!! She still has the scar to prove that story! SO When I heard the music playing I yelled at Stephen to grab some money and I grabbed up Sydney and my camera of course....Stephen said what are you doing with that(the camera)? I said I have to get her first ice cream truck experience on film!!! He just rolled his eyes LOL. We ran outside in time to meet the truck and I was more excited than Sydney was I think!

Sydney picked out a rainbow sherbet push up for her first ice cream. She thought is was very yummy.
And yes she is still in p.j.'s. When Stephen takes care of her on the weekends she normally stays in her pjs unless they go out somewhere!

As promised, after getting cleaned up from our ice cream we went back to the park! Sydney on the way to the park kept saying...play, play, play!! She took off running when we got there. There were a ton of people there of course since it was a Saturday and so nice outside.
Daddy unsure I guess if she can go down the baby slide by herself. He was so funny because he really doesn't know how independent she is when she goes to places like this. She will go down the big slides all by herself and I just let her. Stephen is so protective over her and was right by her side at the park. I just sat back and watched. I have to share this story it's too funny. Sydney was on the baby slide and was standing at the top and there was a little boy up there with her and we were sitting around the bottom of the slide and Stephen says to me what is he doing. I said I don't know they are probably talking. The next thing I know Stephen is running up the slide and yells as he is going up HEY!! NO!! Grabs Sydney and comes down. Stephen wasn't yelling at Sydney, he was yelling at the little boy Sydney was up there with. Apparently he was hitting her but Sydney wasn't crying. I told Stephen to calm down and he said I don't care, he doesn't need to be hitting Sydney!!! haha. I laughed so hard. I said you have to expect thing like that to happen when there is a large group of kids! Stephen has a lot to learn. thank goodness there wasn't a big a mean daddy around for that little boy. We stayed at the park for about 1.5hours and had a good time.

Just a swinging!!
