Christmas with The Johnsons on Christmas Eve

After Santa came to our house and we played with our toys for a while we got dressed up and headed to Stephen's parents house for lunch. Sydney was already starting to get sleepy and on Christmas there is no time to rest so while in her car seat on the way over I thought she was asleep and when I grabbed my camera to take her picture she gave me this sweet little smile!
Our best family pic on Christmas. Sydney was too distracted to look at the camera!
After lunch Sydney and Haley were playing with Ninas block Nativity set. Haley would set them up and Sydney would knock them over! Great Fun!

Our two oldest nieces are such sweet girls. When we would ask them what they wanted for Christmas they both would say "I don't know" "Whatever". So Stephen told Haley who is a tom boy if you don't tell me what you want for Christmas I' going to buy you a Barbie. She never imagined he was serious. SO Sydney gave Haley her first gift which was a Barbie. Shes so funny she said I'm not going to tell you what I'm going to do with the Barbie!!! Later she opened a bow and arrow set and She said that Barbie could be her target for practice!!!

Every year the person that hands out the gifts is called Santa. This year Sydney was Santa. She loves to help.
This girl loves some chap stick!

Michael and Lisa got Sydney an outfit from Gymboree and she loved it so much that she had to put it on right then! You can really tell her poor pink eye in this pic.
Uncle Mike got an electric smoker and Sydney loved playing in his box.
Sydney had a great Christmas. She was not only excited about her gifts she was excited about what everyone else was opening. She ran from person to person to see what they were opening.

The last gift was for Sydney and she got a rocking horse. It gallops and sings songs! Once this gift came out she didn't get off until we took her off of it! I'm sure there are many hours to come playing with this horse (HO HO as Sydney calls it).

Me and my hubby!

I think everyone has a snuggie pic from Christmas. This really isn't for Stephen's dad but he wanted to model it. He called it a snuggle we were laughing so hard!

True fashion

In true fashion I am late for our Christmas post. Better late than never! This is our Christmas tree. It's the last year we will have this tree because I broke the stem of it when we were taking it down. I can't say that I'm said because now I can get a pre-lit tree next year!
Because of our schedules we decided to do our Christmas on Christmas Eve. This is what the house looked like after Santa came. Sydney's two big items were a tent and a kitchen.
Sydney LOVED her kitchen!!! She didn't want to open anything else because she wanted to play with her kitchen. She loves to feed us and cooks for us all the time! It's funny how kids know how to imagine they are cooking and play with pretend food. She says EAT.EAT. when she wants us to go to her room to play kitchen.

She thought her tent was really cool. It was a ball area in the middle tent. She Christmas though she really hasn't played with it as much as I thought she would and it's huge! I didn't realize when I ordered the tent how big it really was. It maybe will go up in the next few weeks if she doesn't play with it more since its in the corner of our living room!

Sydney with all of her Christmas gifts from momma and daddy! She got way too much this year. I was cutting back on what she got this year but when I started to pull everything I had bought over the past few months she ended up getting more this year then last year.

One last thing Santa brought her one thing you may or may not have noticed. She woke up with pink eye on Christmas Eve. You can really tell in some of the pictures.
I still have two more Christmas to post

Yea this is ladies night!

This past Wednesday night some girls from work got together at On the Border. Kristen (the one in red) has been away at school for the past semester at Texas Weslyn. She is in school to become a CRNA. We are proud of her and miss working with her! Since she finished her first semester of CRNA school we went out to celebrate.
